Mosaic table D90 Ankabut

A diamond border is typical of a Moroccan mosaic table . In addition to the decorative function, it also has a symbolic function: as stylized eyes (witch eyes), square diamonds are supposed to protect people from any kind of harm. The mosaic setters place a wide variety of patterns and ornaments into this frame. However, one thing is always the same: the glazed mosaic pieces are previously carved from the handcrafted Zellige tiles with a sharp-edged hammer. Each table top is purely handcrafted and therefore absolutely unique.

With the Ankabut garden table , the joints between the individual mosaic pieces are clearly visible. This is definitely intentional, because the craftsmen had the artfully woven web of a spider (Ankabut) in mind when designing it. Alternatively, the design is reminiscent of fireworks as they unfold magnificently in the sky. Enjoy a true riot of colors here in green, burgundy, yellow, black, dark and light blue!
