20 years of the Orient in Germany
We, Mohammed Mehdi & Mohamed Moutamassik, were able to receive the first delivery from our home country of Morocco. Friends had encouraged us to follow our intention. Because we noticed in Germany a great longing for the exoticism of oriental splendor and way of life. The fascination emanating from the souks and gardens of Morocco is simply so strong that hardly anyone can resist it. After a successful start, we gradually expanded our range with beautiful things from Egypt, India and Indonesia. We continue to avoid intermediaries; our goods only reach Europe through direct import.

Our furniture, lamps, ceramics, woodwork, textiles and accessories for home and garden are truly unique. They are purely handcrafted, as has always been the tradition in the Orient. When it comes to our orders, we pay great attention to using high-quality materials and paying the craftsmen fairly. Through direct contact with the producers, we can guarantee both this fairness and the exclusive production of the products by adults. Child labor would never be an option for us.

Sustainability in materials and packaging
We care about our planet. When it comes to product materials, we therefore rely on recycling, specifically: recycled teak* and reused glass and plastic. Other products carry a certificate such as FLEGT (Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade) and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council). It goes without saying for us that we comply with the EUTR (EU Timber Trade Regulation). We also pay attention to sustainability in our packaging for national and international shipping. For example, we shred used cardboard boxes for our filling material.
